BMW E46 will not start sometimes, tachometer jumping up and down hysterically, and the ASC light is on?
I have a 2000 BMW E46 Coupe 3-Series, Sometimes, when I try to start the car, the car will not start, but instead tachometer jumping up and down hysterically. Also ASC traction control lights and come off easily, I was quoted £ 100 + VAT just for someone who would look at it! I called a few independent traders, but no one knows what it is. I had a handle sensor and guide these sensors, but said even that does not sort it can anyone help me?
The correct procedure is to go to the store, which has a general digital fault code reader. This car is misfiring, should be more Fault Codes, which can be translated into readable English. It sounds like you had a high voltage ignition problem, but you still need Fault Codes to pin-point problem (s) in detail. You will probably have to pay at least 1 / 2 hour of diagnostic problems, as a minimum.
