home automation - Lighting?
Recently I've been thinking about adding some home automation and wondered what it would take to get lights to work by remote control. I have a remote that can handle, but lights can not. After looking around briefly in the web, it seems that most things I find are simple adapters that plug into the wall, then connect a different light / appliance on that. This work for lamps, but what standard, Wired lighting through a house? Lights on the roof? The kind that work with switch standard wall? Is there a simple way to add remote control capabilities to existing lights? It seems you only need to change the light switch present something that can also be controlled automatically, so but I have not seen anything yet.
Goggle x10 system. I've been using this system for 12 years. It has wall switch modules. I use them for everything. I use the computer interface to turn in all my Christmas lights associated with indoor and exterior. Remote controls a great job. x10 is tested and reliable.
