1999 Dodge Caravan Cam Sensor ?????? Please help?
So I'm in the market for a new van. I found a 1999 Dodge Caravan for really cheap. The only thing a guy said that Cam sensor is bad. He says that the van only go in drive "some time" and will not in reverse at all. He said part of the $ 100 repair mechanic would charge $ 1200. Sounds so? Are these common symptoms of the cam sensor is bad? Or does it sound like something more serious?
Cam sensor has nothing to do with transmission. Unless the van into reverse, and is only occasionally go to the unit, there is a major problem of transmission, and you could be looking at $ 2500 Repair Act. Take a look at another vehicle. This is not fair, either the seller does not know what they say. I would bet he knows what is wrong with the van.
