actuator sensor interface
Road new programmer?
I have all the needed software and resources to teaching and began writing code in any language, Id like. My ultimate goal over time is to create an application that reads the sensors and turns the engines or motors to set the 'X' the desired position. I want a closed loop circuit, which in themselves are good .. I need to design a graphical user interface for this, along with position indicators and gauges on my computer monitor. I think you can do in any language, but what would you suggest. I have Java JDK6, Note Tab (XML editor), Visual Basic2008, Basic Stamp Editor ooPIC compiler, various C compilers and debuggers code ... Also the Visual Basic language and Basic (stamp) Read the same code language?
VB and Basic Stamp are different dialects of the same language. Sijnce hardware is different, many of the constructs do not exist in one other. I let the computer dictate hardware interface and language. Provided using a parallel port or a single pin I / O, making it the PC will be much more difficult that it was necessary - you will need drivers you can access for read / write the actual physical ports. (Serial ports on PCs are simpler.) BASIC - Whether the stamp or the Visual - it is easy to use GUI and also write access to the hardware, assuming that the hardware can do the job. (If the servo drivers are 2-lead device [on-off and direction], and sensors, analog, or small and some PIC assembly would do the trick, and can interface it from the PC via serial port, which have both - a simple physical interface and a nice GUI.) Java and C are a bit unnecessary for this work.
